How Many Treatments Are Needed?

The number of treatments depends on the type and depth of pigmentation:

Superficial pigmentation (freckles, age spots, mild sun damage) → 1 to 3 sessions
Deeper pigmentation (melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) → 3 to 6 sessions

Treatments are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and for pigment to fade gradually.

What to Expect During & After Treatment

During Treatment:

a mild tingling or warm sensation is common, but most clients find the treatment comfortable.
the session lasts between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

After Treatment:

Treated pigment may darken temporarily before flaking away over the following days.
Skin may appear slightly red or sensitive for a few hours post-treatment.
Results develop gradually over the next few weeks, with further improvement after each session.

Downtime & Recovery

Minimal downtime – most people resume normal activities immediately.

Some may experience mild redness or darkening of treated areas, which fades over a few days.

Sun protection is essential to prevent new pigmentation from forming.

Pre care

Avoid sun exposure & tanning for at least 2 weeks before your session.
Discontinue retinol, acids, and strong skincare products a few days prior.
Arrive with clean skin – no makeup, creams, or fake tan.

Post treatment

Apply SPF 50 daily to protect treated skin.
Avoid exfoliation, heat treatments, and active skincare for 5 to 7 days.
No sunbeds, saunas, or hot baths for 48 hours.
Keep skin hydrated and soothed with gentle skincare.
