What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that gently removes the outer layer of dead skin cells, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion underneath. The treatment uses fine crystals and vacuum suction to exfoliate the skin, helping to improve texture, tone, and overall skin health.

How Does It Work?

At Remedi, we use the Ultrapeel® II microdermabrasion system, one of the most advanced and reliable systems available. The Ultrapeel® II delivers a controlled flow of crystals to gently exfoliate the skin while the vacuum system simultaneously removes dead skin cells and stimulates circulation. This process encourages cell renewal, collagen production, and improved skin elasticity.

The Ultrapeel® II is equipped with crystal flow regulation and adjustable vacuum settings, ensuring a personalised treatment tailored to your skin’s specific needs. The built-in compressor allows for deeper treatments, when necessary, while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Microdermabrasion is not painful; however, some mild discomfort may be felt when the treatment is addressing particular skin issues or when the intensity is increased for deeper exfoliation. Most clients describe it as a slight scratching or vibrating sensation.
There is minimal downtime with microdermabrasion. The skin may feel slightly sensitive or appear mildly red for up to 24 hours afterwards, but this typically subsides quickly. You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.
Microdermabrasion is suitable for most skin types and can be especially beneficial for those with:
• Dull or uneven skin tone
• Acne-prone or congested skin
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Hyperpigmentation
• Enlarged pores

At Remedi, we combine advanced technology with expert knowledge to deliver safe, effective treatments tailored to your skin. The Ultrapeel® II ensures a high standard of care, providing consistent results in a comfortable, sterile environment.
• To get the best results from your microdermabrasion facial:
• Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least 7 days before treatment.
• Discontinue the use of retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating products for 5–7 days prior to treatment.
• Do not undergo waxing or laser treatments on the face for at least 7 days before your appointment.
• Ensure your skin is clean and free from makeup before the treatment.


• Avoid sun exposure and use SPF 30+ for at least 7 days after treatment.
• Avoid harsh skincare products, including retinol and exfoliants, for 5–7 days post-treatment.
• Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
• Keep your skin hydrated and use a gentle moisturiser 2-3 times a day.
• Do not pick or scratch the treated area.
